What We Do

Wonder Horse Ranch (WHR) is an equine-assisted services (EAS) program located in Elgin, TX at Flying Pig Farm. WHR offers veterans and first responders opportunities to learn horse care and the classical system of in-hand and ridden work with horses as a means to ameliorate anxiety and stress. In addition, WHR provides space for veterans and first responders to gather as a community and spend time in a relaxing natural setting.

WHR’s mission is to create a mutually therapeutic and collaborative environment for people and equine partners, improving the physical and mental wellbeing of both. At WHR, equine-human relationships are reciprocal and based on the values of trust, relaxation, joy, and choice.
